Lord Vishnu is the object of adoration at Shree Satyanarayan Pooja. One day, Narad ji begged Lord Vishnu to reveal the mantra, or the means by which the suffering of humanity will end. In response, Lord Vishnu said that in the Kaliyuga, worshiping Lord Satyanarayan will be the surest path to moksha and pleasure.

Because Shree Satyanarayan Pooja is revered so highly, it is performed on auspicious occasions like as childbirth, birthdays, marriages, Greh Pravesh, and other joyous occasions. In addition, people perform Satyanarayan Pooja when they plan to fulfill their wishes or when they are ill or even lose something.
